Gosh! Comics Presents - Chip Zdarsky in conversation with Kieron Gillen
In association with the Lakes International Comic Arts Festival, Chip Zdarsky was recently inerviewed by Kieron Gillen at Gosh! Comics in Soho and you can hear their chat here!
While many people's first exposure to Chip (aka real Canadian person Steve Murray) has been via his artwork on Sex Criminals, he has been writing and drawing comics since the early 2000's. And those comedy writing chops - honed in newspaper humour columns and cartoons - have served him well on his other projects, including creator-owned sci-fi adventure Kaptara, Archie staple Jughead, and numerous Marvel books, including Howard the Duck and the recent back-to-basics Spidey book Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man.
Kieron is the multi-award winning writer of - among others - Phonogram, The Wicked + The Divine, Darth Vader and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. One of the most influential British comics writers of the last decade, he's always sure to have a fresh perspective. Between that, and his celebrated career in games journalism, he's sure to take the interview in interesting, unexpected directions.
